AmeriCorps programs do more than move communities forward; they serve their members by creating jobs and providing pathways to opportunity for young people entering the workforce. AmeriCorps places thousands of young adults into intensive service positions where they learn valuable work skills, earn money for education and develop an appreciation for citizenship.
UHEAN AmeriCorps Members in the College Fellows and Engaged Alumni Programs provide support to hundreds of community organizations through direct service and capacity-building efforts. The work performed by our members increases the ability for organizations to continue providing much-needed services in the areas of education, healthcare, and economic opportunity.
